No. Flip Roaming helps with the costs of Accidental Injury.


The Overseas Medical Cash benefit reimburses the cost of eligible Overseas Medical Care as a result of an Accidental Injury.



The Extra Recovery Cash benefit pays extra cash amounts for eligible Accidental Injuries.

You can buy cover for one week at a time.


You can choose to start immediately and be covered from that time until the end of the week, or you can schedule it to start up to 12 months in advance and cover will start at 12:00am on that date.

Your Insurance will end 7 days after it starts, at 11:59pm on the 7th day. For example, if it starts on a Tuesday, it will end at 11:59pm on the following Monday.

When you buy cover, we’ll ask you to choose the closest region to where you're travelling and use that timezone.

• Motorcycling (which includes dirt biking)
• Illegal activities
• Activities while taking illicit drugs or taking medication not as directed
• Activities while being under the influence of alcohol
• Work activities, unless your work is paid professional athlete, sports coach or sports referee

To cancel a week that you’ve scheduled for a future date, simply head to Manage Cover on your Flip Dashboard and cancel that week for a full refund.


If the week already started, you won’t be able to cancel it, so you’ll stay covered for accidents until 11.59pm at the end of that week.

No. The only thing you need to pay is the premium when you buy cover, which is $80 for one week.

You can buy Flip Roaming on behalf of a child aged 5-17 living in Australia, if you are their parent or legal guardian.


Flip Roaming can’t be purchased on behalf of another adult, or another child who is not your child.

Flip Roaming doesn't provide cover for accidental injuries in New Zealand. But don't worry, we cover accidental injuries in New Zealand with our Flip Active and Flip Kids cover.

Flip Roaming covers countries that are part of the European Union (EU).
